I am an easy going and fun loving person. I have loved horses all my life. I would eat, sleep, breath, & dream horses. I would read just about every book on horses & have read every horse story. I have also watched every horse movie there is and own just about every one of them (except the ones I can't find, like "Wild Horse Hank"). I never could have my own horse growing up, but when I turned 23 I finally bought my first horse. His name was Courageous Clipper. He was half thoroughbred, half quarter horse & 3 yrs old when I got him straight off the track. Our personalities were so much alike it was scary.I loved him so much! I ended up losing him when I married my ex-husband who was an alcoholic. He drank away all my money for horse board and as a result I lost my horse. I never got over it. That was 23 yrs ago. I never was able to find out where he went or what happened to him & it has haunted me all these years. For years I couldn't even bring myself to be around horses. Now I am finally to the point where I would love to have my own horse again. I would also like to get more involved with them again. I thought that maybe being on this site is a start. Some of it is painful because of the memories it brings back, but mostly, so far it is so wonderful looking at all the pictures & reading the stories. Thank you to all of you that have welcomed me on here.

Wow..powerful story! Horses are my therapy, when I get home and feed them, the sound of them munching puts me at ease...I hope you find the right horse...he needs you as bad as you need him...or her.

Thank you for the add:)
Your story is so sad....I think about a show horse I had as a teenager that became lame and could no longer compete.......I was told that "he went out to pasture" and a new horse was purchased so my show career continued with out my best friend.....I don't even want to know what happened, I like you have very sad thoughts of that........the good thing is we learn from those times.....I'm glad you're coming back to horses they add so much to our lives.......you sound like a true horse lover!
