42 years old, married with 2 kids. Grew up in the military and was military myself. I've lived in California, Vermont, New Hampshire, Texas, New York, Florida, Texas again, Alaska, Nebraska, Florida again, and finally, Kentucky. Oh yeah, I was born in Germany. I ridden many breeds in my travels and although Romeo, a 5 gaited Saddlebred was my favorite horse, I don't have a favorite breed.

Hi,
I would love to get back into riding trails, but have no trailer. It's been a long time since I've ridden, but intend to do so soon as I'm able to.

I am new to this internet stuff, too. I don't have a clue about 1/4 of anything I am doing. I love those good old saddles. I had a roping saddle that I purchased well used from someone at the farm where I board. It was one of a very few that fit my Morgan/QH mare. I loved that saddle and it fit just about every horse I put it on. I could tell it was worn, but of great quality. The only maker's mark on it was the letter L inside a diamond on the keeper. In 2002 a rash of barn thefts took place in our area and my saddle was stolen. How I finally tracked the maker down for insurance purposes is a whole story in itself, but I did some digging and it turns out it had been a custom saddle made in the early 80's by a saddle maker in Wyoming who only made about 50 saddles before an accident forced him to retire. I always surf the used tack sites hoping I might find it. I did find another saddle by the same maker while on my "trolling" epiditions and I bought it. Sure do miss that roper!!
