Glory came from an abuse situation as a yearling. She was over 100 lbs under weight but doing very well now. Dallas, we have had him since he was 5 mths old, he is 5 now, a big baby.Macey is the same age as Dallas and have had her as long as Dallas. Carmen, we got her at an auction. Poor lil girl was in the "meat pen". She was only a yearling and the man said she was too small and would be a waste of his money. We bought her from him for $50, she is now a beautiful 5 yr old 15 hh Grulla.We have had Jade since she was born. She is now 4 yrs old. She had a cut on her Deep Flexor Tendon in her right hind. We had 3 vet's tell us to put her down. Could not do it. After many, many visits to MSU and a lot of TLC, she is happy and healthy.Sunny, we got him at 6 months old and just a sweetie pie, he is 3 yrs old now. Ready to get started under the saddle! Ransom was a Race horse and is now a barrel horse. Daisey is just there. lol Then there is little Skid. He has had a tough life. His dam is Daisey, and was born May 7th of 07'. He was born one month premature. Something didn't look right from the get go. At 3 days old we found him in the pasture with blood coming from both ends and very lethargic. Called the vet and we really thought he was going to die before the vet got there. When vet got there, his temp was only 97 degrees. We loaded him and took him to MSU, they know us well. We told the vet that $1500 was the max we were able to spend on him and after that, he would have to be put down. On day 2 of being there, the Vet called and said we had hit the limit we had set. We told him to go ahead and put him down. They had put a feeding tube and an I.V. Into him. The vet called back an hour later and said he couldn't do it. He said he went down there and Skid was up and nursing!! He made us a deal of $2000 and they would do all they could to save him. Well, as you can see he is a tough little guy and he made it. His leg muscles had not fully developed so he had to have a special shoe and some leg splints put on, which gave him sores the whole length of his cannon bone. We finally got them all way healed in September. Anything else you would like to know..just ask. |

I am 34 yrs old from Michigan. I am married and have 2 children. We have 9 horse's in total. 3 Q.H. Paint's,5 Q.H.'s and 1 Quarab.Hoping to get back into things this spring after being off almost 2 yrs due to back injury and surgery.I also have 5 cats..2 Siamese, 1 Russian Blue and 2 mutt cats. Also one dog, She is a pit/ lab mix and scared to death of the cats. lol
*Finally added some pic's!!* In my spare time, like I really have any, I am busy with the kids sports. My son plays Football and Indoor Soccer, I think I am going to try to talk him into Outdoor this year. My daughter plays Indoor Soccer and Softball. Most of our time right now is taken up by Soccer and 1 Day a week of Softball for now. As soon as it gets warm, we are going to be atleast 4 days a week of Softball.
