FAVORITE RIDERS: Don't really have any. Hmmm...
FAVORITE MUSIC: Modern rock, country.
FAVORITE TRAIL RIDES: right now we don't have any. Getting Doll into shape... (round doesn't qualify) And getting adjusted to the stable and new farriers... grrrr... (we finally found a farrier.. YAY!)
GENDER OF HORSE: Mare

HORSE NAME: Doll
HEIGHT: 15.2
BREED: Amish version of a Standardbred
RIDING DISCIPLINE: trail with English saddle but will go either or
YEARS RIDING: 10
UPCOMING COMPETITIONS: None... we just kinda hang out and work on basics and enjoy each others company.
HISTORY OF YOUR HORSE: Well.... Doll is a dark bay with three white feet and a star and a snip. She has a mixed history. We bought her for a crummy $500 bred to a paint stud from someone who shouldn't have any horses. She was in with 30+mares foals and the stud. Had been run through the fence several times by the stud and was only fed a handful of chicken feed (literally) a day when the other horses would let her eat. Thank goodness they only had her a year (she wasn't a paint and they didn't want her) but before that I think she must have had a super home. She's sooo well behaved and sweet but still spunky. She'll do anything take anything in stride. Blankets, trailers, new horses, anything. Now she's just my girl. She's not really my furr-baby, we're the same age! 22.
CURRENT STABLE: Kirk Stables, Columbus Ohio
GENDER OF HORSE: Mare

I'm fairly average. We recently moved to Columbus, Ohio. I love it up here. Doll is boarded at a racing stable near Scioto Downs. She's settled nicely and enjoying being pampered. No work yet, but not all play yet either..lol. And now I'm training Doll's 2 yr old filly Sassy as my next riding horse. Not sure what direction to take yet though...

Can you believe summer is almost over and trail riding will be coming to an end? I am looking for pictures of your rides, stories and or other fun things you did this summer.

Good day trail riding Group
I posted a topic on Trail Riding Preparation and would be interested in feedback. I am trying to get together a trail riding group in my area, and was asked to formulate some basic guidelines for preparing a ride. The snow is melting, the days are longer, and I am feeling it’s time for a good old trail ride. I have had a lot of comments about Green Creek, and this year I plan to Video tape a ride, and add a lot more pictures.
