She was at some crazy lady's breeding farm- the woman just kept the mares continually bred

About Me

I have been riding since I was six years old. I rode for five years doing western and then moved onto english and my favorite, the jumpers.

I have been training since I was about fourteen, doing everything from touch-ups on older horses to taking on abused horses and transforming them into willing partners.

Teaching has also been a big part of my life, as I've been giving lessons for as long as I've trained. I started out in Pony Club but had to quit due to financial strain. However, I kept right on teaching and now I teach a great handful of riders right now in the jumpers and equitation areas.

I bought my filly in October of 07.'
Scout is a Percheron X Paint cross
She is a red roan tobiano- currently, as we're not sure if she's going to grey out
She is looking to be my eventing prospect, with long, sturdy legs (nearing 14hh at 8 mos) and trots poles on the ground with ease and fluidity.

good, headset is very important in the ring. we are planning on working the gelding uphill at a canter to build up their necks. lol.
my mares, reba n mell, are both pretty laid back.
reba has navicular in her foreright, but she still has a lot of go in her. she is registered with the palomino horse registry, because i bought her unpapered she cannot be registered in half qh or tenny.
mell is a registered half arab, although she is really 7/8ths. she is my speed horse, even though she is in her early 20's.
both mares are due to foal this next month so i am looking for as much help as i can get. (tips welcome). getting close to them shouldn't be an issue, my mares are great, but the care is what concerns me. we have local horse whisperer (john bonine) and i figure if anything goes wrong i will call him. lol. sorry bout the long message. ttfn

03/18/2008 10:53:30 Hey, I love scout - what a neat combination and an event horse she'll make. When I was young I went on a midnight trail ride with a bunch of friends - great time. I also fox-hunted in maryland at some of those Plantations. Fun. Enjoy!!!!
