The comeback kid!!

Well, his first show with me and my trainer, that is. And besides, the only other shows he went to were last July. So for all practical purposes, this past weekend was his first show.
We took him to a local schooling show for one day and I'm so proud of him! He still isn't doing his flying changes, but jumped wonderfully. In fact, he jumped so well that he got a 4th out of 20 something horses in one of his over fences classes WITHOUT changing his leads.  He also got 2nd place in two of his three hack classes. Aside from some 4 year old nerves at first (and utter, wide eyed panic in his first hack class), it was just a wonderful, happy experience for him, which was all we wanted.
He has his first A show in 10 days and I'm feeling much better about things now.

Congratulations! How exciting for you! You'll have to keep us informed on how the A show goes! It sounds like he is doing quite well for a younger horse!
