I love all kinds of music but rap. Music such as Enigma, Enya, Genesis, Styx, Queen, Evanescence, Kitaro, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi, Scorpions, Chicago, Pink Floyd and more. The list is so long it'd take me all day to write all of them down. |
| FAVORITE TRAIL RIDES: |
I love any trail ride that has me in the saddle for more than two hours. *smile* I would love to go trail riding in more parks and experience more of the United States but I need to meet people that I can actually do this with. |

| HISTORY OF YOUR HORSE: |
My horse is an older barrel horse that is just as sweet as he can be. He doesn't seem to have any kind of bad vices. So far I have enjoyed getting to know him thus far. I've only had him about two weeks now.
Comments of Previous Owner:
Shotgun is a quick and fast little guy. He is 14'2 and even though he is small don't let that fool you he gets the job done pretty fast. He rides in a steel nose hack a more. no tie down, trail rides like a dream. I have won money on him in the 2-D and 3-D. He qualified for the NBHA world 2 times with his old owner. He also runs the games and runs 23-21 sec pole runs, 8's and 7's in Texas barrel weave, 8.20's to 7.90's in arena race, and he runs 16's high 15's in barrels (depending on length etc.

Hello my name is Kathy:
What am I looking for: I am looking for somebody that will care about me for who I am. He needs to be strong minded, not wishy, washy, "woe is me," kind of guy. He should be motivated, humorous, love animals, doesn't mind me gardening and kids even if they are adults now. I want a friend, a riding buddy, a lover who will respect me and love me and treat me good.
BTW: If he doesn't ride horses that is ok too, just as long as he doesn't mind me having horses and riding.
I spend as much time with my horses as I can. I'm down to one personal horse and of course my daughters horse. I had to downsize after my husband passed away. My personal horse is called "Shotgun" and he's a fine horse. I barrel race him as well as trail ride. I am finally starting to feel like he and I click as a team too. I'm getting much better with my riding and my speed times are starting to show it too.
I'm going to breed Luna (Lyn's horse) this summer because I need to raise up a new horse to take Shotgun's place due to his age. By the time the baby is ready for racing, he'll be in his twenty's.
I belong to a local riding club called the "Columbia County Riding Club" and participate in pole bending, texas weave, clover leaf and the arena race. Racing is so exhilarating, scary and fun! I also enjoy spending hours trail riding too. There is something peaceful about being on a horse and riding the countryside. Everyday life just seems to disappear for a while and all the cares of the world are gently washed away while riding.
I am a mother of three wonderful children who are now adults. I have to wonder where the heck time went. I still think of all three of them as my babies though. I'm sure that is perfectly normal for any mother who loves their kids that deeply. My oldest daughter Lyn is now 21 and I am so proud of her. She will be in her third year of call when "Fall 2008" begins. She is the Artist of the family and her paintings are just fantastic. She loves to paint, bowls and she rides her horse when she can. I look forward to what she accomplishes in her adult life too.
My son Thom is now 19 years old. He's the one I worry about because right now it seems like he has no direction or motivation to do anything with his life. I don't know if this is a normal thing for a 19 year old boy or not. I realize he's now considered to be not only an adult but also a man but he surely doesn't seem that way in my eyes. I hope for his sake the lightbulb comes on soon and he decides he's finally ready to do something with his life.
Then there is my youngest Kris, she's the musician of the family. She's been playing her clarinet now since the six grade and she loves it. She's playing in the church orchestra now as well. She just graduated from Highschool May 2008 and I look forward to what she will accomplish in her adult life. She's supposed to be starting college this fall as well. I don't know if she's decided what she wants to do with her life right now because she thinks she's in "love sweet love" at such a young age. I hope both of them are smart enough to get their educations before thinking about that settling down and doing the adult everyday life is hard deal. So only time is going to tell at this point.
All three of them have become rather independent although they still come and talk to me about things when they need to and I'm really glad about that. Two of them are still living at home with me of course and I hope they will continue to do so but I have a feeling once they realize they can actually "afford" to spread their wings, they will do so. In mean time I make each day count as much as I can when they aren't off doing other things.
I think I am ready for them to move out too. I am finally realizing it's time to start thinking about myself for a change. It's difficult to do that though after having done this so long. Living by myself and supporting myself is definitely going to be a new lease in my life that is for sure.
I love music except for "rap," I just gain nothing from it. My music taste varies from one end of the spectrum to the other. I've been gifted with a "green thumb" and horticulture is so rewarding. I like to take photographs of nature, especially blossoms. I don't think that nature could be any more perfect when creating blossoms. It's amazing how many different shapes, colors and sizes there is. Some smell good, some don't have any scent, some smell like dead bodies and then of course there is those that have such bold colors how can one not stop and enjoy the beauty.
I decided to give a go at growing a few vegetables from very large pots this summer. I planted Okra, Tomato's, Cucumbers, Watermelon, Pumpkin, and Beans. I've having some problems with ants on my okra though. It's really frustrating me a lot.
I have been a stay at home mom for over 19 years now. I'm almost finished with my Associate of Arts Degree in Fine Arts. It is my goal to transfer to St. Leo University to work towards a Bachelors in teaching. I would really like to teach High School Science but we will see what happens as time progresses through this. I love children in general and want to make a difference. Maybe I can share my love of horticulture as well while teaching science.
