| HISTORY OF YOUR HORSE: |
I was told by my parents that they were going to put 800$ towards a horse of my choice. I was so excited! I wanted a project horse that i could turn into a barrel horse. So, we heard through the grape vine that someone had a 800$ little Appy cross. I jumped All Over It! First time I saw him I fell in love, he was a little overweight and besides the short neck, he had pretty good conformation. I bought him.
Now, here comes the kicker! It seems as if his breeding was that of a pleasure horse. Still to this day I have to keep after him to keep his head at least level instead of at a downward slope (like he is peanut rolling). It also turns out he is not a very fast runner, but he does like to dip, spin, and slam on those breaks at a moments notice. Hahaha, I thought about it......reining. I always wanted to get into that. Im going to send him to a trainers to polish him up in that area. Hope all goes well! If not, he is still going to stay with me forever, because he has the most irraplaceable temperment in the world. at 5yrs old I could send begginners on trail with him and not worry. He does pony rides in October (sometimes walking kids around all day long, and most of them have a hard time getting on). No matter what kinda noise or movements the kids make he dont care. He stands quietly. If for any reason he has to be sold, he def. going to a therappy center |
