Ireland earned some valuable points in the Superleague when finishing second in the Aga Khan Nations Cup at Dublin last week. This means Ireland has moved up to fifth place in the Superleague Series, with the final leg taking place at Barcelona in September.

At the same show, Irish Sport Horses put in some impressive performances. Shane Breen (Irl) and Lissyegan Clover Diamond (ISH) finished third in both the 6 Bars and the Puissance. The Minister for Defence’s mare, Mo Chroi (ISH), and Captain David O’Brien (Irl) took second place in the €21,000 Dublin Stakes. Fellow Army Equitation School rider, Captain Shane Carey (Irl) and Cashla Bay (ISH) finished second in the €21,000 Speed Derby and Britain’s Robert Smith and his experienced mount, Mr. Springfield (ISH), took the €15,750 Accumulator class.
