"Red star tropic" aka Red.. Foaled in Surrey B.C. bred to pace on the track, did not and still does not pace. Went to 2 year old auction was purchased by a young woman who showed him for a year then sold him to me when she left for college. Since he's been with me he has enjoyed the life of leisure, however has become one of the best trail horses you could ask for brave with a heart of gold. Will also happily participate in play-days......pens cows...dressage...loves to jump....He is one in a million the perfect horse I dreamed of.
I also have a sweet QH type I adopted from CBER a rescue of sorts.....her name is Flirt she's about 15hh now, has become a VERY confident alpha mare, she can be a bit of a handful...has just started under saddle she seems to be no nonsense when it comes to work and was not fazed by saddle or having a rider sit on her.....she has not yet been asked to move forward with a rider .... it won't be me LOL......she's with me for life good or bad...We started out the correct way so hopefully good updates to come. |

I have been riding since I was 9 years old.....spent years in the hunter/jumper world, and then took a hiatus from the horse world to raise 3 girls.
As the girls grew and left the nest (all but one) the horse bug snuck up again....I'm hooked! So I bought a farm and a couple of horses a while back, I have an 8 year old 17hh STB I can't say enough about him, I also adopted an 18 month old QH from CBER she's now 4 approx 15hh, again I could start raving about her:)
I found I don't bounce as well as I used to but refuse to let that stop me, I have been taking dressage lessons which is a new world but I enjoy them, I hope I'm not to old to learn a new trick.
All in all I am a horse nut, I also help run an anti-horse slaughter group us_againsthorseslaughter@yahoogroups.com I wait for the day when our horses stop dieing such horrific deaths.
