I love country life!! I have been happily married for 28 years and have one daughter. We have 4 cat's, 2 dog's and 6 horses of our own. In addition to that we board about 12 other horses. Our life pretty much is all about our animals. I do manage though to still play a lot of tennis, snow ski, work in the garden and do some quilting. I would have to say that I have a pretty good life and am very grateful for that.
thanks so much for the suggestion. now, how do you do the thing like on your background where the picture is repeated? i've tried to figure that out and i can't seem to work it right. and yes, now you can see my big brown baby.
Hello. It's nice to have someone my age out here! Good for you for staying so active.
My rescue operation is limited since I work full time and only have 2 acres. So, I'm limited to 1 rescue at a time. Although I try to place rescues once they are healthy, any rescue is welcome to stay indefinitely. "Penny" is ready to be placed, but so far no one has shown an interest.
Penny and Zip are our 15th rescues. All of the rescues have unique stories. Rescue work is expensive and can be heartbreaking, but mostly it's rewarding to watch these creatures bounce back. Currently, I have 5 horses, all but 1 are rescues. The eldest is a 31 y/o Arabian whom I couldn't place because he still needs an intermediate rider! But Cannon is a character and is worth his weight in gold teaching Zip (now weaned) the rules of being a horse!
If you know of anyone at your stable who might be interested in adopting a rescue, whether now or in the future, please let me know.
Thanks.
Linda
Hello! I am glad you liked my video. I just got Docari in Sept. She is my first horse. I am having fun with her and i am learning so much. I think i have only rode her maybe 6 times so far. The weather here has not been good. Lots of snow and ice. I am hoping spring gets here soon!!
i've been busy trying to dig our way out of the snow. we got at least a foot, but some places its up to two feet. we were finally able to plow our road today, after our plow broke down.
