I love country life!! I have been happily married for 28 years and have one daughter. We have 4 cat's, 2 dog's and 6 horses of our own. In addition to that we board about 12 other horses. Our life pretty much is all about our animals. I do manage though to still play a lot of tennis, snow ski, work in the garden and do some quilting. I would have to say that I have a pretty good life and am very grateful for that.
Ha-ha, thnk you very much, Im not going to be able to start the real training till after I get back next year, but I am teaching him some things now, he is taking it pretty well! thnks for the comment!
Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. In the past month, I've had 2 weddings, 2 funerals, 8 track meets & 1 horse show. Whew! Leaving for another meet shortly. Have a horse show this weekend. I'll be so glad when school's out!! So glad I don't have a "regular" job.
Hi Sue, the knee surgery went well and I'm practically walking normally now. I'm looking for a pinto pony about 10 or 11 hands in So CA if you hear of anything. Thanks!
I have photos but there isn't much I can do, but not speak to them any longer. I left behind the horse she accredited HERSELF with training and who did rather successfully in the halter show ring. He was a bay tovero APHA yearling who I would have died to bought, but it didn't end well. -sigh- All the help I got on learning to show and train him wasn't a waste though - you never know when another foal/yearling will come around that needs work or if I get my own some day...
I am happy that it wasn't worse, too. Yeah I don't have a high opinion of her myself lol.
Thank you for the comment.....yes we like the trees as well but it takes a lot of rain to keep them green:).....your area looks very pretty also....not to mention pretty horses and doggies....your very blessed!
I agree with our economy in the shape it's in the worry is there for many horse owners........I know in our area we all try to kick in if someone needs help, we have a large network including vets and farriers....I do hope other areas will find ways to help their horse communities...it sure isn't the horses fault....Thank you for starting this group.....fun stuff!
